Our Mission Hills client approached us with the desire to renovate their multi-level interior layout. Faced with challenges such as a poorly engineered staircase and an under-designed living space, we incorporated the homeowners love for wine, traveling, and entertaining guests into our design-build process. We sourced reclaimed wine barrel wood to integrate the new staircase with the existing basement wine cellar. We continued the theme by using reclaimed wood throughout the living space as accent pieces in the casement work. This major renovation was achieved by updating the master suite and bath. We gutted the existing suite down to the studs and subfloor in order to re-design an open floor plan, taking advantage of the high ceilings and natural light. We achieved the desired spa-like oasis by adding a stand-alone tub, large shower with multiple heads, quartz countertops, glass tile backsplash, and custom cabinetry. We were able to meet our client’s request by finishing the renovation in time for their annual Cinco de Mayo party.
